10 Best Practices for Managing Client Relationships Effectively

published on Friday, 10 July 2020

According to the 2019 Holmes Report, the global PR industry grew by 5% in the last year. For most agencies, this growth stems from the number of clients and businesses secured and engaged.

While client acquisition is important to an agency, client retention is even more paramount. Getting new clients is a big deal, but keeping them and maintaining the relationship can prove just as challenging.

Elevator Baby: Timini Egbuson, Lagos Woes and Everything In Between!

published on

Growing up in Lagos, there were certain names that always made the rounds. Timini Egbuson was one of them.

The “Unilag big boy” was always on some Uni Awards list and no party was complete without him and his crew.

So when I heard he was going into acting, I almost didn’t take him seriously. I mean, his older sister is a successful actress and it sort of seemed like an easy pass but boy was I far from right.

From his stint on Tinsel to his recurring roles on MTV Shuga, Fifty and Skinny Girl In Transit I started to see that there was more to this young actor.

And what broke the Camel’s back for me? Elevator Baby.

14 Things Every Millennial Can Learn From Michelle Obama’s Documentary on Becoming

published on Friday, 15 May 2020

As a Nigerian millennial, my earliest recollection of a First Lady was Stella Obasanjo.

I’ve always been interested in politics and government, so I also read up on other First Ladies like Maryam Babangida who was the wife of General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, Nigeria's Head of State from 1985 to 1993 and Maryam Abacha who is the wife of the late General Sani Abacha, Nigeria’s military ruler from 1993 to 1998.

From as far back as I can remember, these Nigerian First Ladies were always very fashionable, opinionated and outspoken on a number of good causes. So when the world stood still on November 4, 2008, as Barack Obama became the first African American to be elected president of the United States of America, I couldn’t help but stare at his wife, Michelle.

The Science Of Live Videos And The Art of Getting It Right

published on Saturday, 18 April 2020

Watching Andrea Bocelli live, on Sunday april 12, 2020, was so surreal!

But what made it even more special was watching it with my grandpa!

You see, my 80-year-old grandfather is the absolute king of swank and growing up around him, I fell in love with some of what have now become my favourite things ... red wine, croissants, cheese platters, jazz and of course the opera, so it was a blessing sharing the live concert with him.

My colleague shared the link to the concert with me and I hurriedly sent it to my grandpa. It was a wonderful experience to share in our love for Andrea Bocelli’s music even though we were miles apart.

And that’s the reality of the world today.
