Last Night in Johannesburg, South Africa, the gay pageant held and for the first time since its start there were two african participants in the pageant; Wendelinus Hamutenya, a Namibian and an Ethiopian; Robel Hailu. The Gay that took part in this year's Mr. Gay World 2012 were from 22 countries and Andreas Derleth from New Zealand won.
