Hi guys!
It's been a while I know! I'm ever too guilty! Life just gets in the way! *sigh*
I have been thinking of what to write for a while now till this weekend came by.
Over the weekend, I met a new friend and little did I know I was going to indirectly learn something from that meet.
My new friend got a phone call, she was told her friend, Awele, was in a coma. She still spoke to Awele during the week, so it came as a shock to her. Awele suffered from sickle cell anaemia.
Unfortunately, however, the worst happened. She died yesterday.
I couldn't believe it. I have never experienced death so close to me before. I was still telling a friend last week that none of my friends have died, I really don't know what I would feel like if one of them did. I'm ever so grateful to God for this.
As you can imagine, my new friend is in a state right now. Who wouldn't be?
This life really is short!
I'm not even sure what my message on this post to you guys is. But honestly, live a life you would be proud of. My friend shot a documentary of Awele's struggle, through the years, two years ago and I must say she seemed like a fun person.
I was moved to tears, when she was talking about travelling and seeing the world, after school.
You can watch it below;
My point basically is for us to live a life worthy of emulation; a life that you would be proud of when you're gone. It's not easy but this life is too short for anything less.
May Awele's soul rest in perfect peace! Amen!
And may the good Lord be with her family and friends at this time in Jesus' Name, Amen!
It is well!
