Avid readers know it takes me forever to post on the blog so you can just imagine how I am with my Instagram, Facebook and twitter pages. Even my tumblr account suffers a whole lot but I would still tag myself a millennial and a socially conscious young woman.
Where am I going with this? You might wonder!
I myself am still unsure of where this post is going, but stick with me! I will make a point.
I actually have to. Why waste your time? Lol!
Okay, moving on!
I recently had to take on a task of being a social media manager alongside my other 'side hustles' and I thought to myself, "this should be a piece of cake! What does it take to manage a couple of social media accounts? I have some myself." But I didn't remember how I am with them. Not until I thought about how much work it can be and how tasking it is to get contents, write and push out contents in a way that is appealing to the target audience and monitor the engagement and reach the contents get. Trust me, it's a whole lot of work combined with other 'side hustles'.
But then I thought of popular bloggers and how easy they make it seem to manage all of their accounts and even their personal lives and then God came into my head.
I'm sure at this juncture some of you will start to wonder why I include God in everything. Well He is our father and creator for one. Why shouldn't I? Lol!
So yeah, it's not easy to maintain a relationship with God like it's also not easy to maintain social media accounts. But there are people we look up to; pastors, friends, that might sometimes make it look so easy to build a perfect relationship with God and live their lives all at the same time.
But I remember watching one of Patricia Bright's snaps and she said it is really not easy to do it all and balance it all and sometimes she feels like she just needs a break so she takes some weeks off to breathe.
Where am I going with this?
Even preachers like Heather Lindsey have admitted to it not being easy to live your life and maintain a perfect a relationship with God. Nobody is perfect. We all just have to sorta keep trying to attain perfection till our Lord returns.
I'm not saying fake it till you make it like some people would say, but I'm saying keep trying, keep doing your very best and you just might be setting an example for someone else to follow. They might also be looking up to you and wondering how you make it look all so effortless! Lol!
But never forget that you can not do it alone. Involve the one person whose grace can see you through all things and He will indeed bless you beyond your wildest dreams!
I love you guys!
-Pookie!
