Cast Your Worries Aside!

published on Wednesday, 22 June 2016

So I saw this picture posted by Heather Lindsey, on Instagram some days ago, and it spoke a whole lot to me.

I've been going through quite a lot of late and I've, sort of been, wallowing in self-pity till I saw this picture and thought "...why not be grateful for what you have right now? It just might be someone else's dream".

Don't get me wrong, it's never easy to forget your problems but thanking The One who made available to you what you already have will only yield more.

I'm sure some cynics in the room will begin to wonder, "why is she on about God again?"

Well for one, He knows where your life is headed, He's provided what you already have, He'll provide whatever else you'll need and it just might not be what you're looking for. So instead of stressing, getting headaches and letting worry take you for a ride, why not just thank Him? Glorify His Holy Name and watch how all the chips will fall in place.

Don't take just my word for it, even The Bible in Matthew 6:25-34 speaks of not being worrisome:

"25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.
29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?
31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

So, yeah, I guess what I'm basically trying to say is that we all need to cast all of our burdens unto The Lord, focus on more productive things. Trash anxiety and be optimistic.

That is my message to you guys and to myself. Because well I think, most times, when I write these posts, they are a wake up call for me. I guess helping people in more ways than none helps me too!

P.S. I hope we're all having a great week?

I love you guys!

-Ciao!
