JK.Who is the face behind T.T.Dalk? Brief introduction.
Temilade: My names are Temilade Tolulope Osinfade, I'm the Creative Director and C.E.O T.T.DALK, T.T.DALK is a brand which has been created to redefine the Nigerian footwear Industry whereby creating innovative ideas pertaining to creativity in the world of Fashion, Art and Lifestyle. We offer simple, classy and elegant designs to get you noticed.
JK. What was growing up like for you?
Temilade: It was great we thank God, I so thank God for my family because I was brought up in in a christian home and My parents disciplined us a lot even though I was still very stubborn. I always loved art and My brother is a magnificent artist so I use to learn from him, he is still the best artist in the world but he is in the United States now.
JK.Educational background
Temilade: I studied at St Bernadette Nursery and Primary School, then Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Abeokuta, and got my B.Sc in Public Health at Babcock University, Ogun State.
JK. When did you first notice your talent for designing footwear?
Temilade: When I was in 300 level.
JK how did you start the pursuit of your dreams with the use of your talent? Were your parents in full support?
Temilade: I started marketing to my friends, then they ordered them and from there I got referrals. I didn't know I was good in it till I got a lot of friends patronizing me.
JK. How do you get your works done? Are you full hands in the process or you just design the works?
Temilade: I design all my shoes as well as cut and sew sometimes but I also have employees too, I also used to buy all my materials but right now I just have my suppliers supply it for me.
JK. Your line of footwear is fantastic in both quality and design. I hav a few myself. How do you try to distinguish yourself from your competitors because i know you hav a lot?
Temilade: Thank you, I appreciate your patronage. My style and uniqueness of my product.
JK. How often do you do photoshoots and the rest to promote your line and new designs?
Temilade: I do photo shoots regularly, but I recently just started working with models. And I'm planning to do it frequently now as long as I have new designs.
JK.Where do you get funds from?
Temilade: I get my funds from sales of my products. I always reinvest a percentage back into the business.
JK. A while back i heard your mum died,how do you deal with the fact that shez no longer around?
Temilade: The lord is my strength.
JK.Who is your biggest inspiration?
Temilade: I got a few designers and artist like Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Sean "P Diddy" Combs.
JK.Where in the next few years do you plan on takin the brand T.T.Dalk to?
Temilade: In the next 5 years, I see T.T.DALK being recognized as one of the top fashion brands globally.
JK.What is your advice for upcoming designers trying to step in SHOES like yours?
Temilade: First and foremost, you have to have a passion for fashion because it is a foundation for excellence as well as the willpower in getting things done, then also setup a plan for your brand, have a vision and goal, stay focused and ask God for his direction.
