I wanted him to be a Mavin, but oh well 'D'banj has signed him to his new record label. It was confirmed that the signing took place on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Davido's house in Lekki. The details of the deal are not known yet but sources say talks started weeks before both acts met in the US. D'banj and Davido were both spotted at the famous strippers joint - Diamonds Of Atlanta Gentlemans Club in Atlanta. Davido's manager; Asa Asika, when contacted however played down the news of the signing insisting that both parties are still in talks stating that; "We are still in talks, that's all I have to say for now, it could take a day or a year".
Davido has now joined D'banj's younger brother KSwitch on the label which, according to insiders, will be affiliated to Island Def Jam Africa..
