May D & Square Records Split!

Y'all know P-Square's record label, Square Records? Well, they just released a statement announcing the end of their deal with May D who is the only other artist on their label. I was mad when I heard though! Why lose May D? He's too talented!

Read the statement below;


"To Whom It May Concern
I, Jude 'Engees' Okoye of Square Records Limited and Northside Entertainment Limited hereby announces to the general public that Mr. Akinmayokun Awodumila, otherwise known as MAY D is no longer an artiste under the aforementioned outfits due to irreconcilable differences.
We at Northside and Square records wish him all the best in his career and life.

But according to NotjustOk and Naijanews, MayD never had a written agreement with Square Records. It was a verbal one. When it came time to sign the written agreement, MayD brought up some things that Square Records couldn't fulfill which led to the breakup.

NotjustOk and Naijanews continued by stating that MayD might be joining HKN Gang soon, as he has been seen to be hanging out a lot with Davido of late and is set to hit USA with the gang to shoot some videos!
