Bolu Akin-Olugbade's grand entrance
The billionaire lawyer, who has his hands in several lucrative pies, walked in shortly after the event began in his trade mark traditional attire. On sighting him, Obey began to sing his praise but there was no response from Akin-Olugbade. Many of the guests wondered if his renewed Christian faith was responsible for his no response attitude. But shortly before he departed the venue, he made sure Obey had cause to smile as he went on stage and sprayed him with crisp naira notes. His departure wasn't without drama as many besieged his Rolls Royce for tokens.
Adunni Bankole on the roll call
She is the step-mother of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole. She was at the event in the aso ebi.
Halima Abubakar now a queen?
Dressed in a cream long sleeved knee-length gown, she looked quite different leaving many to wonder if it was really Halima. Her hair was shaven! Even when she was introduced, the compere, Madam Kofo, addressed her as Queen Halima Abubakar.

It was a gathering of showbiz personalities, specifically from the Yoruba movie industry. Some of those present were Antar Laniyan, Adebayo Salami, Saidi Balogun, Mercy Aigbe, Iyabo Ojo, Funke Adesiyan, Ayo Adesanya, Baba Wande, Sola Kosoko etc. A few of those outside the movie industry were Bisi Olatilo, Salawa Abeni, among others."
