MTV EMAs: Gist from the show!

The 2012 MTV EMAs (also known as the MTV Europe Music Awards) was held in Frankfurt, Germany, hosted by Heidi Klum on November 11, 2012. This was the fifth time that Germany and the second time that Frankfurt was the host city of the EMA's. On September 17 the nominees were announced. Rihanna received eight nominations while Katy Perry and Taylor Swift received five, leading the categories. This year added new regional categories to compete in the Best Worldwide Act, also this year the Best Look, category was introduced, due to the presence of the same award at the Italian TRL Awards.
