Yes! You read right! Flee or die!
From the picture above, I'm sure you can already tell what I'm on about.
How do you stay with a man that beats you?
I woke up this morning to a post my colleague sent me on instagram.
A man put up a picture and was speaking about moving on and not dwelling on the past.
His wife then put up a post in under an hour of him asking her through a DM if she commented on his post about domestic abuse and she went on to say, she didn't have the time for such.
She then proceeded to call him out on how he physically abused her, by beating her about 20 times in 3 years.
The first thing I thought of, on reading this, is that this guy must be an animal for trying such. Beating a woman should never come to a man's head. It's wrong and should never be condoned.
When I spoke to my friends about it, it was quite outrageous to hear stories of women and even young ladies who are in abusive relationships.
You know your boyfriend beats you or has beaten you before but you go ahead to marry him. How foolish is that?
If you sense the violence or see signs that depict such, why can't you run far away from the situation?
Even the bible says flee from all appearances of evil. Don't wait till the day he actually kills you.
And for the guys, I have heard of situations where their women beat them or intimidate them.
This life is not that deep. Why not leave?
You only live once, why waste months or even years of your life in a situation that makes you unhappy or uncomfortable?
The same goes for friendships, if you're not feeling it or if it isn't healthy for you, please walk away. Don't wait for the worst to happen.
Love, dare I say it, isn't worth dying for. If he's even beating you to pulp, I highly doubt that he loves you. And if you say you're staying for love, brethren carry that love elsewhere. That individual doesn't appreciate or value it. Take the love to an individual that will cherish it and treat you like royalty.
This life is not difficult.
As stated in my previous post, make this your watchword, "live, love, laugh".
If the situation you're in doesn't allow you to live life to the fullest, love with all your heart and laugh wholeheartedly, then it's not worth it.
Sit back and reevaluate where you're at.
Make sure you're building great memories!
And don't forget to have fun!
Lots of Love!
-Pookie!
