Friendships: How Tenable Are They In Adulthood?

My Boss posted the tweet below on instagram a while ago and it sorta resonated with me. 

Adult friendship = 2 people saying "I haven't seen you in forever! We should really hang out more" over and over again until one of you dies

It also got me wondering about; how plausible friendships are in adulthood.

Hi Guys!

So I turned a year older last weekend and I realised that birthdays are just what they are, another day. It's not like I haven't known this for years but it dawned on me that my birthday didn't necessarily make me anymore happier than normal, it just was another day.
