President Goodluck Jonathan has sacked the Minister of Defence, Haliru Mohammed and the National Security Adviser, Andrew Owoye Azazi.
The president, who many have criticized over his poor handling of the security situation in the country, was no doubt frustrated by the duos inability to help curtail the menace of the Boko Haram sect. There was no official explanation for the sack.
Azazi had it coming though, ever since he openly blasted the PDP, pointing accusing fingers at the party for the rising spate of violence and insecurity.
A statement from presidential spokesman, Reuben Abbati, said that Col. Sambo Dasuki has been named as Azazi's replacement. No replacement however has been announced for the former Defence Minister
