So i hear, that D'banj recorded the official soundtrack for the adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's "Half of a Yellow Sun" and it will be premiered on Monday. The track "bother you" and its video will be released on the same day, Monday 20th January 2014 by 6PM.
It is a love song inspired by the love story of the movie. The music video was shot in South Africa and produced by Godfather Productions and DKM Media. The music video features footage taken from the movie.
I hear dbanj coproduced the soundtrack album with Yewande Sadiku and worked alongside Onyeka Onwenu.
The movie, Half of a Yellow Sun, was directed by Biyi Bandele. It stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Genevieve Nnaji, Onyeka Onwenu, OC Ukeje, Hakeeem Kae-Kazim, Anika Noni Rose, Tina Mba, Gloria Young and Zack Orji.
