I haven't written a poem or a semblance of such in a while, but today as I was writing the post on Aramide, I thought, "why not try to write one and see how it goes?"
So, I saw this post The Shade Room did on Dana Chanel and her boyfriend, Prince Donnell and I just knew I had to share it with you guys.
I'm sure, a number of us know how obsessed I am with Dana Chanel! I've been meaning to blog about her relationship till I saw this post and thought, 'perfect opportunity'!
I just of recent started driving fully in Lagos. After years away in school, it felt good driving myself to work everyday again, till the usual Lagos hassle hit me. Don't get me wrong, I have always known Lagos to not be a place of driving pleasure, but the kind of traffic I face to get to the Magodo side of the express, these days, is intense.
I have a lot of planned posts, for the blog, but no time to write them and I apologise to you guys because I don't like the fact that you'll come back each time and not meet anything new.
So I'm sure the newsy ones amongst us have heard of the major case of cyber-bullying, in my opinion, that has happened over the course of the past few days.
Well for those of us that haven't, let me fill you in.
Instagram, or rather Facebook, has launched a new update to the Instagram app, Instagram Stories. They directly stole snapchat and put it on instagram without the weird ass filters and geo-filters, of course.
Some people I've had this discussion with seem to think that it isn't bullying, but to me it is. How do you with your big weight steal something that, obviously, doesn't belong to you?
Well my boss, wrote a piece on it. I found it interesting and thought to share it with you guys.
So I read this piece on PartyJollof and because of my love for Niniola, I knew, I just had to share it with you guys! Seeing Niniola get her much-deserved recognition makes me smile because I can see how hard she works!
It's official guys, there's something about Khloe Kardashian these days that intrigues me! Sometimes, just sometimes, I think I see a bit of me in her. (No famz insinuated here! lol!)
My new found love for Khloe Kardashian amazes even me myself cause I'm not so fascinated by her family and some of the life decisions they've made, but who am I to judge?
So on the 4th of May, 2016, Omawumi walked out of an interview with HFtv's Zinnia after she was asked about an alleged drinking and smoking habit.
A lot has been said on whether Omawumi should have answered the question or not so rather than dwell on it, I have put together other recent celebrity interview questions that maybe should not have been answered or should have been properly thought of first, before being answered.
With the drama that has unfolded from Tiwa Savage and Tunji Balogun’s marriage: Teebillz’s instagram meltdown, attempted suicide, Tiwa’s interview with Azuka Ogujiuba, Tiwa going back to work and Tee Billz's drug test, attention shifted from the couple themselves to other parties involved. As at the time the Tiwa Interview was released, I had to write this piece because I believe Azuka was a wrong fit for the interview. And if it is true that the video wasn't supposed to be pushed out for public consumption, everything including her demeanour was wrong, whether private or public.
Y'all know Oyindamola Bamgbola is one of my favourite writers at the moment right? Well, since it took me a while to get back to you guys, my first loves, I saved this article she wrote on the Linda Ikeji and Wizkid fight.
Avid readers know it takes me forever to post on the blog so you can just imagine how I am with my Instagram, Facebook and twitter pages. Even my tumblr account suffers a whole lot but I would still tag myself a millennial and a socially conscious young woman.
My friends have, for a while now, been going on and on about how angry I am or how much I bottle things up. So I thought to just come on here and not only share my thoughts with you guys as usual but to start a segment of the blog where I could just air out any nonsense. I guess I basically just want to rant. So yeah, here's the first of many Pookie's Rants!
So, I attended the launch of the first ever PR report in Nigeria, a while ago, and the speech from the CEO of BHM Group, Ayeni Adekunle, caught my attention. The PR report was put together by BHM Research and Intelligence in patnership with PRCAN and the whole concept proved to be a tactic in helping to develop the Nigerian PR industry. I just had to look for the transcripts of the speech and put it up here just for you guys!
Diversity has, of late, become a major issue not just for americans but all over the world. The news, recently, has been buzzing with the #OscarsSoWhite campaign and Apple's diversity proposal to name but a few instances. The black/coloured community is not letting sleeping dogs lie, anymore, when it comes to discrimination and their protest for equality in diversity.
I know some of us will be wondering why I keep dwelling on friends but friends, just like family, literally make or mar you. They are important factors in this journey called life.
I remember, as a young girl, filling slum books and scrap books and there was always that one section for "close friends" and "best friends". This section, if you ever filled one, you know, caused major problems in friendships back then. It was almost like a way to stamp or seal your friendships.
I was going through posts on social media this afternoon when I saw this post by Oyindamola Bamgbola.
We all either heard or read or saw what happened earlier on in the month between Davido and the Momodus and Olamide and Don Jazzy right?
Well here are two lessons Oyinda feels, we should learn from the scenarios. I know I've been on about PR, a lot, of late let's just say I'm swimming in PR territory at the moment! Lol!
