published on Wednesday, 30 November 2016

I haven't written a poem or a semblance of such in a while, but today as I was writing the post on Aramide, I thought, "why not try to write one and see how it goes?"

Anyone up for a poetry freestyle?

Read and judge gently! lol

You Are The Key!

A few months ago, I lost someone that was very important to me.

I had never lost someone close to me before, so if you had told me how it felt, I would never have believed.

Saying it stung is an understatement. Not only did it hurt, but the pain was indescribable. Just typing this hurts.

Pookie's Rants: Magodo Road Rage

I just of recent started driving fully in Lagos. After years away in school, it felt good driving myself to work everyday again, till the usual Lagos hassle hit me.  Don't get me wrong, I have always known Lagos to not be a place of driving pleasure, but the kind of traffic I face to get to the Magodo side of the express, these days, is intense.

Hi Guys!

So work has really been taking its toll!

Why I won't be leaving Snapchat for Instagram Stories. Or will I?

published on Friday, 5 August 2016

So I'm sure the newsy ones amongst us have heard of the major case of cyber-bullying, in my opinion, that has happened over the course of the past few days.

Well for those of us that haven't, let me fill you in.

Instagram, or rather Facebook, has launched a new update to the Instagram app, Instagram Stories. They directly stole snapchat and put it on instagram without the weird ass filters and geo-filters, of course.

Some people I've had this discussion with seem to think that it isn't bullying, but to me it is. How do you with your big weight steal something that, obviously, doesn't belong to you?

Well my boss, wrote a piece on it. I found it interesting and thought to share it with you guys.

Enjoy!

"The Grass Ain't Always Greener Kids"- Khloe Kardashian

published on Wednesday, 22 June 2016

It's official guys, there's something about Khloe Kardashian these days that intrigues me! Sometimes, just sometimes, I think I see a bit of me in her. (No famz insinuated here! lol!)

My new found love for Khloe Kardashian amazes even me myself cause I'm not so fascinated by her family and some of the life decisions they've made, but who am I to judge?

Every family as we all know has its issues.

Omawumi | HFtv Interview: 5 Other Recent Celebrity Interviews Gone Awry

published on Sunday, 8 May 2016

So on the 4th of May, 2016, Omawumi walked out of an interview with HFtv's Zinnia after she was asked about an alleged drinking and smoking habit.

A lot has been said on whether Omawumi should have answered the question or not so rather than dwell on it, I have put together other recent celebrity interview questions that maybe should not have been answered or should have been properly thought of first, before being answered.

10 Female Personalities That Could Have Conducted The Tiwa Savage Interview Better

published on

With the drama that has unfolded from Tiwa Savage and Tunji Balogun’s marriage: Teebillz’s instagram meltdown, attempted suicide, Tiwa’s interview with Azuka Ogujiuba, Tiwa going back to work and Tee Billz's drug test, attention shifted from the couple themselves to other parties involved.

As at the time the Tiwa Interview was released, I had to write this piece because I believe Azuka was a wrong fit for the interview. And if it is true that the video wasn't supposed to be pushed out for public consumption, everything including her demeanour was wrong, whether private or public.

The Oscars and Apple Diversity Stories- PR lessons to be learnt

published on Friday, 22 January 2016

Diversity has, of late, become a major issue not just for americans but all over the world. The news, recently, has been buzzing with the #OscarsSoWhite campaign and Apple's diversity proposal to name but a few instances. The black/coloured community is not letting sleeping dogs lie, anymore, when it comes to discrimination and their protest for equality in diversity.

What sort of friend are you?

published on Tuesday, 19 January 2016

I know some of us will be wondering why I keep dwelling on friends but friends, just like family, literally make or mar you. They are important factors in this journey called life.

I remember, as a young girl, filling slum books and scrap books and there was always that one section for "close friends" and "best friends". This section, if you ever filled one, you know, caused major problems in friendships back then. It was almost like a way to stamp or seal your friendships.

Well here are two lessons Oyinda feels, we should learn from the scenarios. I know I've been on about PR, a lot, of late let's just say I'm swimming in PR territory at the moment! Lol!
