Abiola Aina alias Flowsikk,is one talented,handsome dude with a nice flow......one would mistake him for a rapper but when JK sat with him a few weeks back, he made us understand that he is just not a rapper;but has a lot of talents just waiting to burst out. Enjoy the interview.
JK.Pls introduce yourself...
Abiola: My real names are abiola aina david. I'm from ogun state.
JK.How was growing up for you?
Abiola: It was good,i guess!
JK:.Your educational background?
Abiola: I attended chrisland,kids kastle,cayley college and now im in Redeemers University.
JK:.When and how did music start for you?
Abiola: I started music at age 10,because I was brought up in an extended family and I had lots of elder brothers who listened to rap music and I fell in love with it. So when I was about 10 I tried flowing and I sounded really good althoug people around me laughed that; "what is dis boy saying?" but I just decided to stick with it because it was coming from my heart,and when I was 13 I dropped my first cd in high school; it was called DNA. I made about 20 thousand naira,it's not really much but then it was big money to me...and then I joined a crew called "neno ent" @ about 17 and never looked back since..
JK:.What other talents do you have asides music?
Abiola: I'm currently studying political science at redeemers university and hopefully i'll like to become the president of Nigeria. I also had hopes of becoming a footballer but I've grown too fat and I can't sprint anymore (smiles).
JK:.Who are your influences and mentors in the music industry? Both locally and internationally?
Abiola: a lot of my music is inspired by kanye west,but I dont think I sound like him and I also listen to drake I think it shows in the kind of music I make.
JK:.What is your style of music?
Abiola: I can't really explain the kind of music I'm into because a lot of people try to stick me into one box and say I'm a rapper but I sing,I rap and I do patua. In general I just make music that make people feel good.
JK:. What are your current singles out nw?
Abiola:My current singles out right now are "when you come home ,featuring Ice Prince and "Monkey post featuring dammy krane. As far as producers I've worked with a lot e.g samklef, haze, bayo beats, osh beats, skalidAce, night blaze, GMK, c-zure, bamzy. Still in d studio working with a lot of producers so just expect a lot of great music in d future.
JK:. Do you plan on dropping an album anytime soon?
Abiola: I don't have a current date for when my album is coming out. But I'm working tirelessly in the studio,whenever the public is ready for my album i'll drop an album.
JK: Any video coming soon?
Abiola: Yes, im planning on shooting my videos very soon, hopefully you should see the video for monkey post very soon. Let's pray it works out as planned.

Abiola: Flowsikk
JK:.How did you meet your new found best frnd;dammy krane?
Abiola: Uhm...(Hesitating) dammy and I met in school and instantly kicked it. He's a cool dude and he's real; I f**k with that.
JK:.What's your relationship with the kutis?
Abiola: Uhm...(Hesitating) the kutis are like family to me.
JK:. Are you signed on to any label yet? Because one would have expected that by now.....
Abiola: Uhm...(Hesitating) something like that but its on the low low.
JK:.How do you deal with the haters? Because i'm sure at the young age your career is in you would have a lot
Abiola: Uhhm....(Hesitating) i don't really care about the haters I think they just want to be were u are and since they can't there just want to talk trash.
JK:.Do you have anybody on your mind that you wish to work with?
Abiola: Uhm...yes....I will love to work with sade in the future.
JK:. So does flowsikk have a girlfriend?
Abiola: I'm I in a relationship. I think it's quite personal,can't say too much.
JK:.Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Abiola: My Immediate future plans are to finish school,get my degree,so I can fully concentrate on my music and I hope by then i'll be one of the biggest musicians in Africa by Gods grace.
JK:. How do you plan on making a name for yourself in the music industry?
Abiola: I don't want to be known as the best rapper or best singer,I just want to be known as the greatest music maker ever. With God on my side I know all things are possible.
