I was talking to a friend who is supposed to be in his fnal year in Unilag at the moment and he told me; "Enitan, I'm telling you, I'm slowly losing it". This is just from one of the millions of students at home as a result of what seems to be a never-ending strike. But at the moment, it seems like there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Following the withdrawal of the ultimatum given to the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU and after CBN confirmed the N200bn payment, the Federal Government and the union yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding, MoU, in Abuja. I hear that if things work out fine, the strike may be called off next week when ASUU presents the MoU at its National Executive meeting, NEC. God please let it be so!
