Jessie J accused of stealing hit song ‘Domino’

published on Sunday, 1 July 2012

Jessie J's being sued over her hit song; "Domino"! She was hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed in a federal court in California by Will Loomis, the frontman for the band Loomis & the Lust. He is actually accusing JJ of allegedly ripping off their song 'Bright Red Chords' for her 'Domino'.

Loomis' camp alleges the song produced by 24-year-old Jessie J and a team of songwriters in August 2011 contained 'substantially similar compositional elements' from their single,  causing 'irreparable injury.'

'Domino' is on Jessie J's new album 'Who You Are'.

Loomis & the Lust had already registered their own version with the U.S. Copyright office on October 10, 2008.

'The arrangements are virtually identical', said Loomis' lawyer, Chris Arledge, who's seeking $150,000 in statutory damages on behalf of his client.

Jesse J's camp is yet to respond to the allegation.
