JK MEETS INK!!!!!!!!

If you've met Brian Edwards AKA Ink, you would wonder why he's so quiet and reserved. He is a dude with a lot to say but limits his opinions most times to himself. But in an interview with JK, Ink shared a lot about his life,presently and what the future looks like for him. ENJOY!!


JK.Who is INK? 


INK: INK, is a 17yrs old rapper, singer and dreamer, *smiles*


JK. What was it like growing up for you? 


INK: Um, growing up was cool cool, being the last born and all, it was easy... Like i always had people who could always advice me through situations because they've seen it all and done it all... So yeah... And i got really used to hanging out with people older than me... So I sorta grew up quickly.


JK. Educational background


INK: I went to fountain nursery and primary school, from there i went on to Dansol high school and when i was 15 i got into the university of lagos to study marine science... And i'll be starting my 300 level when the new session starts..


JK: When did you first notice your flare for music?


INK: It was in 09... I was fresh out of secondary school... I used to write poems *laughs*... Feeling like some sort of bard *smiles*... And um my brother told me about his friend who was just getting into music full time and had issues writing... So that night i wrote three songs and gave it to him... And they called me over to work with him as a writer... That's how i got started. I Met Galactic and he talked me into recording my first song & we've been on a roll since.. 


JK: Why the name INK? 


INK: *smiles*  I started off writing for people way before i started recording stuff for myself...and one of the guys I used to write for called O.B started calling me "Ink" and it just stuck with me ever since

JK: Being the last child,do your family members support your musical ambitions,especially your parents? 


INK: Yea, they do... Its funny how but everyone has been so supportive, especially my super mum *smiles*


JK:.Who have you worked with in the industry? 


INK: I haven't done a lot regarding collabos just yet, i've just been away with Galactic (my sick producer) making music all by myself, my label A.N.I. Ent just made everything available for us to achieve that... Buh for now i've done stuff with bad guy Spankie (laughs) and Essence... Buh that list will be a lot longer soonish.


JK: .Who do you look up to in the industry? 


INK: One name, M.I...  In Nigerian rap music, he's numero uno *in my opinion*

JK:.  Who do you plan on working with or want to work with in the industry? 


INK: Yea, people like Tuface, M.I, MoCheddah, Wizkid, Dammy krane... That's like my wish-list and I'll have one person off it in a bit *smiles*


JK:. Does INK have a girlfriend?(If yes,tell us more about her,if no,why don't you have one).


INK: *smiles* nope... and with that I just denied about five females *laughs*... I'm just kidding though but umm for real, I can't and my reason is pretty simple, like I'm doing soo much at the moment and a special female just won't fit in... And I really don't want to hurt anyone, I hate being that guy. Yup 


JK:. What's the future looking like for INK? 


INK: Uh, its like really really bright... I just pace it though, one day at a time... But the big picture, its a lot of shine... yup


JK: . If you were to come back to life as a popular nigerian politician who would it be and why? 


INK: (laughs), ummm I guess it'd be Fashola. He's One of d best ones out there in my opinion *shrugs* *smiles*
