Hi Guys!!

So for the select few that know me, I’m the shyest person but my favourite fashion editor, Njideka Akabogu, my co-host, Binyelum Ewulluh and I have been discussing working on a show for the longest time.

We’re novices with a passion and I’m excited to see where this journey takes us!

City Info Africa And My Perception Of Nigerian Cities!

published on

I recently found City Info Africa, a platform that is committed to promoting a lifestyle that is rich in culture and heritage, and I immediately fell in love.

It's been a while since I have appreciated the society in which I live and work. I have, honestly, become a typical 9-5 lagosian: wake up go to work ... come back go to sleep.

WOMAN CRUSH: OLAJUMOKE ADENOWO

published on Tuesday, 15 August 2017

My first encounter with Mrs Olajumoke Adenowo was in one of my friend's snaps on snapchat.

She had gone into my friend's office for a meeting with her CEO and my friend jumped on her at first sight. She was so excited to see her she took snaps and selfies and couldn't stop raving about her.

Hi Guys!

So I follow BeyondACurvedSpine on instagram and they're a group of Nigerian scoliosis survivors that engage in various activities to create awareness about the condition and also enlighten Nigerians about living with scoliosis.

What's scoliosis?

Well scoliosis describes an abnormal, side to side curvature of the spine.

My Boss posted the tweet below on instagram a while ago and it sorta resonated with me.

It also got me wondering about; how plausible friendships are in adulthood.

I Took A Holiday And I LOVED It!

I remember sharing my Boss' post on holidays with you guys while neck-deep in work. I was advising on how good it is to shut it all off and take a break but I was on the verge of a breakdown from all the work and pressures I was facing.

Hi Guys,

So I am presently working on the MTV Shuga project.

For those of us that haven't been privy to the internet or Shuga itself, MTV Shuga is a hit TV show that focuses on sexual health amongst youth across Africa. The show this week announced its return to Nigeria after a season in South Africa with cast members, Timini Egbuson, Jemima Osunde and Sharon Ezeamaka.

Me!

For a young woman in her early 20s, I had not, till 2013, heard of scoliosis. So hearing a doctor tell me, after a routine x-ray before my masters programme, that I had scoliosis was like pouring ice cold water on me. I was mostly terrified and felt like I could't even go through with the programme. This was all within the few minutes after the doctor sat me down to give me the news.

Birthdays & Happiness!

Hi Guys!

So I turned a year older last weekend and I realised that birthdays are just what they are, another day. It's not like I haven't known this for years but it dawned on me that my birthday didn't necessarily make me anymore happier than normal, it just was another day.

What To Do About The Incessant Issue of Alms

published on Friday, 20 January 2017

I was driving through traffic the other day and I realised that the number of beggars on the streets have increased. I didn't find it disturbing but I found it alarming. How many beggars can you give money to? How many people can you actually sufficiently help?

At first I resorted to blame the economy and even the government. But looking for who or what to put blame on won't help these poor souls. I read this post from my colleague Tobi and it sort of spoke my mind on this issue. I thought to, as usual, share it with you guys!

Enjoy!

This respect-your-elders syndrome is killing us!

I love the fact that everyday I get to work with some fantastic minds. A lot of my colleagues are young creative lords that will never seize to speak their minds and as such I thought I'd start to share with you guys a few of their musings because I just think a lot more people should read their thoughts!

Without much ado, here's NJ's piece on "This respect-your-elders syndrome" that's "killing us" in Nigeria.
